I have big and exciting news to share with you! (No, I am not getting married and no, I am not pregnant.) What I do have however is my own website and travel blog!
After writing about my travels for a year now for STA putovanja, I have finally decided to make that leap and start with my own page. His name is (yes it’s a he) Curious Journeylist. Why did I choose this name, you ask? Even if you don’t ask I’m going to tell you anyways! Journeylist because it is a travel blog, and because 5 months ago I decided to take another master in journalism. So you see what I did there with Journey-list? I know, I’m a clever one. Curious because we all as human beings are in constant search for the answers…..
Yeah… no. It’s because someone else was clever as me and registered Journeylist as their domain name sooner than me. So I had to pick another one or add something in the name. I’ve chosen curious, it just seemed a little bit better than „clever“. Ok, I should stop with this.
Anyway… CJ (you can call him CJ after you like him on FB or Instagram because he only lets his friends to call him that way) is up online and of course on social media such as facebook, Instagram, and twitter.
Curious Journeylist will not be your typical travel blog, yes, I know all parents say the same thing for their babies but mine is different! 🙂 If you have ever read my blogs for STA putovanja you probably know I don’t usually write things like “I visited Rome and saw the Colosseum. It is HUGE and beautiful.“ Of course, I am not saying that all travel blogs are like this but in the last year I have read tons of travel blogs and what I noticed is that a huge amount of them lack one basic thing- their own experience and point of view. I don’t want to be Trip Advisor because Trip Advisor will always be better, but I do want to share with you experiences I have from living, working and studying abroad and of course, traveling as well.
But that’s not all!!! (Of course it is not.) Since my new career choice is in media and journalism I will also write reports and do interviews with a lot of interesting people. They can be travelers themselves or someone I meet on my travels and I think their story is interesting and worth sharing.
I really hope you will like what I do and be my very first audience. Check out the page and tell me your impressions! To learn more about me or Curious Journeylist, go to the “About” section on the website. First blog post is online as well, I wrote about my most recent trip to Budapest. Check it out!
One more thing…I will write this blog in English mostly because of my foreign friends who are sometimes a part of my blogs and they want to know what I said abut them. So they usually ask me to translate the post for them or they do it by themselves with a google translator. Because of that and a few other reasons, I decided to write in English. I do apologize to all the native speakers and to all of you grammar nazis for my possible mistakes. And there will be mistakes. However, I hope you can overlook that.
I will do my best.
